Bring in the Police
Kick Out the Perverts
and their protectors
Unless this is done, the Adyar Theosophical Society will not
survive & the entire Theosophical Movement will be damaged
The writing is definitely on the wall over the sexual abuse allegations
and the Adyar Theosophical Society leadership ignores it at its peril
Acts of sexual abuse against young girls have been alleged within the Adyar Theosophical Society. This in itself warrants an immediate police investigation to establish the true extent of the problem. Had an immediate investigation been called when the allegations first emerged back in 2009 then the problem could have been resolved and any perverts identified could have been booted out of the Theosophical Society. As it stands, it appears that the problem has been allowed to fester under the protection and with the approval of the leadership.
Let’s be clear, the correct word for any perpetrator of the alleged acts is pervert. The girls subjected to these acts are victims of sexual abuse, and deserve support, protection and justice. All women in the Adyar Theosophical Society have the right to be protected from perverts, and if the leaders are not prepared to provide this protection then they should resign. The general membership of the Adyar Theosophical Society should not have to work within an organisation where perverts may be operating and given protection by the leadership. There is no place for a leader who is soft on perverts or is too frightened of perverts to take action against them.
The recent supercilious pervert friendly official Adyar comment that “individuals perform acts” shows a callous disregard for the suffering of the victims and an indifference to women in general, by accepting the sexual abuse of women as part of the normal run of things. Is this the true Adyar leadership attitude? No pervert could hope for better support anywhere else in the modern era, and the Society not only needs to rid itself of perverts but also of any collaborators who have been prepared to cover up or apologise for them.
